Mary W. Mason

Mary W. Mason, age 78, of Carlisle, died on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home.
She was born in Huntingdon, PA on February 6, 1937 to the late Dr. William B. and Helen McCall West.
Mary retired from the office of Bryant General Surgery. She was a graduate of Huntingdon High School and the College of Wooster in OH. She was also a graduate of Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in New York City, NY. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the church choir and the bell choir. She was a former member of Cantate of Carlisle and the Carlisle Musical Arts Club.
She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey W. (and wife Lisa) Mason of Mechanicsburg and Eric J. (and wife Mindy) Mason of Pittsburgh; a daughter Catherine McCall Smith and husband Scott Smith of Athens, OH; a brother, Dr. William J. (and wife Joyce) West of Hilton Head, SC; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Fulfilling Mary's wishes, there will be no viewing or services. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Second Presbyterian Church, 528 Garland Drive, Carlisle, PA 17013 or to the Greater Harrisburg Humane Society 7790 Grayson Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111.
