Mary Rose Koonce

Mary Rose Koonce, 76, Newville, died Sunday, January 15, 2012 at her home.
Born March 9, 1935 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna Hage Moffitt.
Surviving are two sons, Roger Eugene Moffitt of Newville and Rickey Moffitt of Newville; one daughter, Ruby Geraldine Martin (and husband, Keith) of Newville; two brothers, Franklin D. Moffitt (and wife Priscilla) of Newville and Ralph Moffitt (and wife, Connie) of Carlisle; four sisters, Isabelle Travitz of Carlisle, Rebecca A. Clawser of Newville, Martha P. Moffitt of Mt. Holly Springs, and Rita L. Anna of Tucson, AZ; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters and one son, Dennis Moffitt.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2012 at McClures Gap Church of God, Newville with Rev. Robert Stauffer officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the church.
