Mary Percival

October 24, 1939 — February 7, 2025

Mary C. Percival, 85, of Carlisle, passed away peacefully on February 7th, 2025 at Cumberland Crossings. 

Born on October 24th, 1939, in Richmond, VA, Mary is the daughter of the late William and Mary (Holman) Curd.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Lance Percival, whom she met when they were just 17 years old. She is also survived by her sons, William Percival, of Monroe, NE, and Edward Percival, of Portland, OR. 

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, as well as a son, Peter Percival.

Mary attended St. Catherine's School in Richmond, VA. She later attended Agnes Scott College, in Decatur, GA. She took a break from school in order to marry the love of her life. She later attended and graduated from West Chester University, taking a special interest in studying the Longwood Gardens in West Chester. 

Mary was an avid traveler. She lived in many places throughout the course of her life. These places included Parkersburg, WV, Laplace, LA, Morris, IL, and West Chester, PA. She later retired to Carlisle, PA. Lance and Mary took great pride in restoring their 1800's stone farmhouse on the Letort Spring Run. Lance and Mary moved to Cumberland Crossings together 5 years ago. 

Mary was a very talented artist. Her interests included needlework and gardening.

She will be dearly missed by all of those that knew her.
