Mary Kathleen Hockenberry Fetter, 99, of Carlisle passed away peacefully at the Thornwald Home, Carlisle with her loving family at her side.
Born November 23, 1914 in Newville, she was a daughter of the late W. Edgar and Bessie Cooper Hockenberry. She was the widow of Earl G. Fetter.
Mary was a member of the Carlisle United Methodist Church, The W.H.O. Sunday School Class and the United Methodist Women.
Surviving are her brother, Grant Lee Hockenberry of Mt. Holly Springs; niece and caregiver, Darlene Cornman of Carlisle; close friend, Dorothy Fisher of Harrisburg; many other nieces and nephews for whom she prayed every day; and son-in-law, David Boose of Carlisle. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Boose; a son, (little) Earl Fetter; five brothers, Roy, James, Frank, Clyde, and John Hockenberry and three sisters, Helen Bear, Marie Barrick, and Elsie Warner.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. James E. VanZandt officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 18, 2014 and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
