Mary Jane Trego

Mary Jane “Janie” Trego, 91, of Carlisle, died Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born October 27, 1920 in Mechanicsburg, she was a daughter of the late G. Frank and Rose E. Smyser Sadler and the widow of Kenneth E. Trego.
She was a graduate of Mechanicsburg High School. Janie was employed as manager of Ritter’s Hardware during WWII and a receptionist for J. Rodney Fickel Insurance. She was a member of Carlisle Chapter of Eastern Star and a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Carlisle. Janie was a loving mother and devoted grandmother. She loved to crochet.
Surviving are two daughters, JoAnn E. Kelly (and husband, Roger) of Carlisle and Terry A. Glass (and husband, Doug) of Mt. Holly Springs; two grandchildren, Stefanie Crane (and husband, Thomas) of Pittsburgh and Sean Kelly (and wife, Jill) of Carlisle; one great-grandchild, Ryan Crane of Pittsburgh; one sister, Doris “Dolly” Dougherty of Mechanicsburg and three nephews and five nieces. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dean E. Sadler and her sister, Marie Gribble.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday February 6, 2012 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Daniel Dennis officiating. Burial will be Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
