Mary Ellen Tolbert

Mary Ellen Tolbert, 85, of Carlisle, died unexpectedly Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at her home.
Born August 24, 1928 in New Kingstown, she was a daughter of the late Oliver and Elizabeth Glazer McClintock and the widow of Paul A. Tolbert.
She retired from the former C. H. Masland & Sons, Carlisle. She was a former member of the Carlisle Moose lodge #761, and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #101 both of Carlisle. Each year Mary looked forward to traveling to the beach with her family. She enjoyed bowling at the Midway. Mary especially loved her family and her dog, Teenie.
Surviving are two daughters, Debra A. Morningstar (and husband, Bronly) of Newburg and Cindy M. Cassatt (and husband, Craig) of Carlisle; one son, Paul A. Tolbert; and one sister, Alice Anderson, Carlisle; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul A. Tolbert; one daughter, Pam Tolbert Player; four sisters, Earnestine Bretz, Betty Kepner, Grace Slusser, and Edna Keck and five brothers, Charles, James, Elmer, Frank and David McLintock.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 16, 2013 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Mr. Craig A. Cassatt officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
