Mary E. Rynard

Mary E. Rynard, 80, of Carlisle died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at her home.

Born April 30, 1931, in Shellsville, she was the daughter of Thomas E. and Ada E. Mumma Yingst and the widow of Myrl E. Rynard Jr.

Mrs. Rynard enjoyed spending her free time helping her neighbors in need and loved puzzles and bingo.

Surviving are two daughters, Joan Garcia and Jodi Rynard, both of Carlisle; five sisters, Shirl Coy of Boiling Springs, Joyce Dunlap of Dillsburg, Erma Shepherd of Lititz, Betty Blouch of Annville and Barb Baker of Mechanicsburg; four brothers, Thomas Yingst Jr. and his wife Cloma of Hershey, John Yingst and his wife Shirl of Missouri, Jim Yingst of Harrisburg and Kenneth Yingst and his wife Lois of Carlisle; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Jean Fralish and Judy Means; a sister, Dora Railing; and two grandchildren, John and Heather.

Funeral services will be held at noon Monday, March 5, at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home and Crematory, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Jan Custer officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.

There will be a viewing from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
