Mary C. Curtin, age 86, of Newville, passed away Monday, August 8, 2016 at Green Ridge Village, Newville.
She was born September 16, 1929 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Stephen and Agnes (Szajakowski) Tomaszeski and was the widow of the late James Richard Curtin, Sr. to whom she was married for 36 years.
Mary was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Jersey City, NJ. She worked as a secretary for the advertising director of the New Jersey Journal for over 20 years.
She is survived by her daughter Mary (and husband Fred) Knueppel of Bayonne, NJ; her son, James (and wife Diane) Curtin of Carlisle; three grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Tomaszewski and her sister, Eleanor McGuire.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Chaplain Jeff Warner officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the services.
