Mary C. Uniatowski

Mary C. Uniatowski, age 92, of Carlisle, PA and formerly of Newark, DE passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at the Thornwald Home, Carlisle, PA with her loving family by her side.
She was born December 14, 1923 in Nottingham, PA to the late Joseph B. and Jennie B. (Tomasson) Crookshanks and was the widow of the late Frank B. Uniatowski.
Mary was a 1942 graduate of Newark High School in Newark, DE. As a young woman starting out in life, Mary had worked for the former Wilmington Trust Company (now M&T) in Newark, DE for 10 years. She also had jobs working for the Avon Company and several care facilities in Newark, DE.
She is survived by a son, C. Fred Uniatowski of Landisburg, PA; two daughters, Linda S. (and husband Philip) Hanson of St. Louis, MO and Mary June Bjork of Lubbock, TX; two grandchildren, Frank B. Uniatowski and Rachel Uniatowski; and a great-grandson, Peyton E. Uniatowski. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Pauline Coates, Edith Wojtowicz, Edna Dick, Daisy Crookshanks and Elizabeth Downey and a brother, Edwin Crookshanks.
Private graveside services will be held at All Saints Cemetery in Wilmington, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to The Benevolent Fund at Thornwald Home, 442 Walnut Bottom Road, Carlisle, PA 17013 or to a charity of one's choice.
