Mary C. Ramp, 90, of Carlisle died Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Thornwald Home, Carlisle.
Born April 25, 1922 in Lower Mifflin Township, she was a daughter of the late David A. and Clara Jane Kennedy Nailor and the widow of Joseph G. Ramp.
She was a member of St. Matthews United Church of Christ, Carlisle Springs. Mary loved sewing and gardening.
Surviving are one son, Joseph L. Ramp of Carlisle; one daughter, Nancy
R. Sheibley (and husband, Donald) of Carlisle; one sister, Betty Evelhoch of Shippensburg; one brother, Benjamin Nailor of Carlisle; four grandchildren, Ann Vavrock, TX, Janice Diehl of SC, Laura Ramp of FL, and Joel Ramp of Carlisle; and three great-grandchildren, Amanda Diehl, SC, Andrew Diehl of SC, and Peyton Ramp of Newville. She was preceded in death by five brothers, David, John, Robert, William, and Charles Nailor; two sisters, Emma Mentzer and Eleida Loy; two half-brothers, Bruce and Ray Nailor; and one half-sister, Minnie Andrews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 29, 2013 at St. Matthews United Church of Christ, 3240 Spring Road, Carlisle. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle with Rev. Dr. Timothy P. Dugan and Rev. Dr. Darrel R. Justh officiating.. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
