Carlisle

Mary A. Blasser, age 86, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on April 5, 2025, in West Shore Hospital in Mechanicsburg, Pa. Born on May 26, 1938, in Trenton, NJ, she was the daughter of Dominick and Christina DeLeone (Yannerella).

Mary grew up in Lambertville, NJ, and in 1959, she met the love of her life, Ronald. They were married in 1960 and shared 63 wonderful years together.

A dedicated, hardworking woman, Mary worked for many years as a waitress at the Red Barn in Carlisle before transitioning to a cashier position at Giant Food in Carlisle, where she worked for nearly 20 years. She found joy in serving the public and cherished the connections she made with her customers.

Mary enjoyed baking in past years. Each Christmas, she would bake dozens of cupcakes and chocolate chip cookies to share with family, friends, and coworkers.

She also enjoyed watching game shows, playing games, and doing word searches. Outdoors, she loved tending to her flowers and getting fresh summer air on her front porch. Mary was a proud member of Saint Patrick Church in Carlisle, PA.

Above all, Mary was deeply devoted to her family. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and Nana. She never missed an event that her family members participated in, even if it meant sitting through three consecutive nights of the same school musical. Mary always made everyone feel special. She loved giving thoughtful gifts and cards and never hesitated to show those she loved just how much they meant to her. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren, always putting family first.

Mary is survived by her two daughters Nicole Stouffer and her husband Bryan, Carlisle, PA, and Jolene Blasser, Carlisle, PA, as well as her four grandchildren, Evan, Brighton, Ethan, and Liam Stouffer. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald in 2023, and her parents.

A private family-only service is being held to honor her life and legacy.
