Mary Beth (Ausbun) Blackburn, 56, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 30th after a 3-year journey with cancer. Born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Gary and Frankie Ausbun, she was the 3rd of 4 daughters.
Her faith in God was a huge part of her life. She was a listening to ear to many who sought comfort and encouragement in a time of need. She loved music and had served as worship leader, sound technician and media display in her church.
Mary Beth was a faithful servant of the Lord, no matter where it took her. Throughout her life this included Michigan, Kentucky, Indiana, Kansas, Florida, and most recently Pennsylvania. Each location brought new jobs of which she all enjoyed, but most notably is her recent career at Carlisle Area School District of which she served for 17 years. She most enjoyed spending time with her family and playing with her grandchildren. Other interests included bicycle riding and crocheting, of which she leaves behind many unfinished projects. She also enjoyed baking and hopes her daughter in laws continue the Annual Blackburn Babes Baking Bash in her memory.
She is preceded in death by her sisters Jamie (Ausbun) Green and Connie (Ausbun) Fultz, who she was so excited to see again.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years Jeff Blackburn. Her four sons Geoffery, husband of Courtney, father of Lyla (2) and baby on the way; Jared, husband of Brianna; Jordan, husband of Chelsea, father of Wyatt(11), Madisyn (8) and Ryder (6); and Justin, fiancé of Lyndsay Malizia, father and step-father of Baylee (5), Madison (14), Leah (11). Her parents Gary and Frankie Ausbun and sister Dana (Ausbun) Baker. Too many to count are the nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors who brought joy to her life.
