Martha E. Raudabaugh, 79, of Newville, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022, at UPMC Carlisle.
She was born March 4, 1942, in Carlisle to the late Norman E. Sr. and Bernieta (Mixell) Markley.
Martha attended Big Spring High School and eventually earned her GED in 1986. She loved her dog Sissy, her family, and her grandchildren who were her world. In her free time, Martha enjoyed coloring. After raising her children, Martha worked in housekeeping for many years at the Church of God Home. She also raised numerous foster children over a period of more than twenty years.
Martha is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Floyd L. Raudabaugh of Newville; ten children, Floyd E. Raudabaugh (partner Matthew Miller), Richard (wife Dolores) Raudabaugh, Lisa (husband Frank) Smyser, James Raudabaugh, Linda (husband Dennis) Griffie, Randy (wife Barbara) Miller, Robert (wife Jennifer) Miller, Roger (wife Trish) Miller, Scott Raudabaugh (partner Jen Etter), and Tom Raudabaugh; three brothers, Robert Markley, Paul Mixell, and Charles Markley; two sisters, Kathryn Keller and Betty Newell; twenty two grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Rowe and Norman Markely Jr. and one sister, Sharon Hershey.
A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013. A private burial and graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at McClures Gap Church of God Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Martha to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
