Marlin E. Clair, 78, of Carlisle died at Carlisle Regional Medical Center Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010.
Born March 5, 1932, in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Lenus and Laura Clair.
He retired as a truck driver from Agway, Carlisle. Marlin loved hunting.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Pauline Clair of Carlisle; two daughters, Cathy Clair Dupert (and husband, Kenneth) of Newville and Barbara Clair Purdy (and husband, George) of Springfield, Mo.; two grandsons, Brian Drake and Jerry Purdy, both of Springfield, Mo.; one sister, Betty Spertzel of McSherrystown; and one brother, Gerald (Max) Clair of Harrisburg.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Charles, Rit and Jack Clair; and two sisters, Minnie Nickel and Pearl Hollenbaugh.
There will be no services. There will be a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle.
