Marlene Leonard, of Carlisle, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 11, 2016.
She was born October 24, 1952 in New Jersey.
Marlene was a devout Christian who was proud of her Portuguese heritage and lit up any room she entered. She was known for years as a bartender in many area locations. She enjoyed nature, music, and swimming at the YMCA with her girlfriends. Marlene will be remembered as an amazing mother, loving wife, wonderful sister and a friend to anyone who met her.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Patrick Leonard of Carlisle; three daughters, Joy (and husband Gerald) Mable of Warwick, NY, Stephanie Vanaskie of Harrisburg and Antonia (and husband Chad) Eberhart of Huntsville, AL; her mother, Lillian Price of Mechanicsburg; and two sisters, Karen of Mechanicsburg and Lori of Boiling Springs. Marlene dearly loved Miranda, Mikey, Tiffanie, Tatianna and Francis, her grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 19, 2016 at St. Patrick Catholic Shrine Church, 140 East Pomfret Street, Carlisle, PA with the Very Rev. William C. Forrey as celebrant. Burial and viewing will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
