Marian F. Hock

Marian F. Hock, 78, of Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle.
She was born June 23, 1940 in Campbelltown to the late Ethan and Esther (Books) Kreider and was the widow of Melvin E. Hock.
Marian was a member of Green Spring Brethren in Christ Church, Newville. She was employed as a dietary aid at Church of God Home, Carlisle for many years. Marian will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by three sons, Maynard E. (wife Sharon) Hock of Boiling Springs, Merle E. (wife Cindy) Hock of Northville, NY, and Michael E. Hock of Shippensburg; five grandchildren, Leah (husband Mark) Thomas of Harrisburg, David Hock of Tipton, Renee Hock of Northville, NY, Philip Hock of Northville, NY, and Brittany Hock of Northville, NY; and two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Halie Thomas. In addition to her parents and her loving husband, Marian was preceded in death by four brothers, Marlin, Harold, Ellis and Ray Kreider; and one sister, Ruth Landis.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Green Spring Brethren in Christ Church, 720 Greenspring Road Newville, PA 17241. Burial will follow at Air Hill Cemetery, Chambersburg. A viewing will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013 and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the church.
