Margaret Irene Watson

Margaret Irene Watson, age 90, formerly of Mt. Rock Road, Carlisle and of Gardners, PA, died suddenly on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, MD. She was born in Harrisburg on August 29, 1928 to the late John Henry Sheriff and Emma W. Minich Sheriff and was the widow of Paul L. Watson who passed in July of 1995.
Margaret retired in 1990 as a Processor from Knouse Foods. She was a former member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, Carlisle, and a member of the Mt. Holly Springs Church of God, and also Margaret attended Agape Christian Fellowship Worship Center in Chambersburg, PA. Margaret enjoyed gardening, cooking, camping, and the time she spent with her loving family.
Margaret is survived by three daughters; Barbara Radabaugh (husband Robert) of Shermans Dale, Betty Heinzman (husband Ken) of Mt. Holly Springs, and Delores Keller (husband Richard) of Gardners; two brothers: Robert Sheriff and John Sheriff, both of Carlisle; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, William Russell.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 28, 2018 at 11:00 am at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA 17013 with Rev. Richard L. Reese and Rev. Ken Heinzman officiating. Interment will be in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle, PA. There will be a viewing at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 pm and Friday at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Mt. Holly Springs Church of God, 602 McLand Dr., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065.
