Margaret Helen Hoffman

Margaret Helen Hoffman, 82, of Mechanicsburg, PA passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at her residence.

She was born June 20, 1940, in Baltimore, MD to the late Charles Louis and Margaret Helen (Fitzpatrick) Schwartz. Margaret was the widow of William C. Hoffman Sr. who passed away in 2013.

Margaret was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Church in Mechanicsburg, where she formerly served as president of the women’s council. Margaret retired from AT&T. She enjoyed her grandchildren and was especially fond of gardening.

Margaret is survived by her four sons, Jeffrey J., William C. Jr., Scott A., and Matthew J. Hoffman; two daughters, Elizabeth A. Herman and Suzanne L. Hoffman; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harry Schwartz and Charles Schwartz Jr.; and two sisters, Patricia Wilhelm and Mary Louise Waite. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Scott A. Hoffman and William J. Rollins; and one grandson, Daniel Hoffman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, April 17, 2023, at St. Katharine Drexel Church, 1 Peter Drive Mechanicsburg, PA 17050. Burial will follow at Baltimore National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. A viewing will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013.
