Margaret Cosgrove

Margaret “Peggy” Cosgrove, 77, of Carlisle, died Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born September 18, 1933 in Carlisle, a daughter of the late George W. and Lillian Whorley Hartzell and the widow of John Patrick Cosgrove.
She was employed by Carlisle SynTec Inc. as a records specialist. Peggy also worked for Carlisle Area School District and the Carlisle Hospital. She was a 1951 graduate of Carlisle High School. Peggy was an extremely social woman who enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are two sons, Michael Heishman (and wife, Barbara) of Carlisle and Patrick Cosgrove (and wife, Melisa) of Boiling Springs; one brother, William Hartzell of Carlisle and one sister Eleanor Thrush of Carlisle; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Hartzell.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, 1924 Ritner Highway, Carlisle with Rev. Bruce Fensterbush officiating. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, March 14, 2011 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle.
