Marcia K. Finkenbinder, of Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at her residence. She was 94 years old and was born in Carlisle to the late Chester O. and Grace (Kerns) Kerr.
She graduated from Carlisle High School in 1945. She worked for many years alongside of her husband, Paul H. Finkenbinder, who passed away in 2008, farming in Silver Springs Township and Newville, PA.
Marcia is survived by her daughter, Teresa Kline and her husband, Thomas, of Carlisle, and her sister Cheryl Brickner and her husband, Donald, of Asheville, North Carolina.
In addition to her husband and parents, Marcia was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey P. Finkenbinder; three brothers-Ronald S., Kenneth L., and George D.; as well as a sister, Sonya Lou Kerr.
Marcia enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. On most Sunday afternoons, you could find her playing Rummikub. She was an avid reader and enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles. She also enjoyed traveling with her daughter on local bus trips.
Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service on June 10, 2022, at 12 noon at Barnitz United Methodist Church, 23 Church Lane, Carlisle, PA 17015. A light lunch will be available in the church social building after the service.
The family would like to thank friends, caregivers, and Hospice nurses who made Marcia’s journey a comfortable, peaceful one.
