Major Chester "Chet" B. Bielucki

August 4, 1922 — May 30, 2019

Major Chester B. “Chet” Bielucki, retired, (born August 4, 1922), passed over May 30, 2019. He joins his wife of over 70 years, Catherine B. “Kay” (Golis) Bielucki (born December 22, 1924), who passed over January 4, 2018. They join their youngest son, Patrick James Bielucki, (1952 – 1993). They are survived by sons Leon Bielucki (Claudia), Alan C. Bielucki (Terry), Michael D. Bielucki, and daughter Barbara A. Bielucki (Michael Snyder) as well as grandchildren, Laura Bielucki Dittrich, Seth Bielucki and Michael Bielucki; several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Chet and Kay were married in West Point in August 1946 while Chet was stationed there during his 20 years of service with the Army. The family spent three of his last service years stationed in Berlin, Germany during the reconstruction and all expanded their equestrian abilities there.

After retiring from military duty, the family settled in northeastern Pennsylvania and Chet and Kay became involved in the local 4-H Horse organization with Kay being the leader of a club for over 20 years. Chet retired from Bendix Corporation in South Montrose after 20 years with them. Kay and Chet then retired to Newville, PA. They were avid yard-salers and auction attendees. Kay expanded her quilting and ceramics activities and Chet was often found ferrying the local Amish and Mennonite to farm sales and on other errands.

Health challenges in the early 2010’s required their moving to the Sarah Todd Memorial Home complex, first in independent cottage living, then with Kay first moving into nursing care followed later by Chet. They were both loved and doted on by the staff at Sarah Todd and are greatly missed by many there.
