Mae C. Wilson, of Carlisle, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at UPMC Carlisle Hospital at the age of 95 while surrounded by her loving family. Born in Carlisle, on May 17, 1929 she was the daughter of the late J. Edward and Emma (Lippert) Evans. She was the loving wife of the late Bruce J. Wilson.

Mae was a member of Carlisle Lodge No 761 Loyal Order of Moose, Carlisle Fraternal Order of Eagles #1299, and Carlisle Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 477. She was a homemaker most of her adult life. She also loved to bowl, often at the Eagles or Moose lodges.

Surviving are two sons, Curtis M. (wife Terry) and Dennis E. all of Carlisle, along with two daughters, Linda Kistler (husband Robert) and Teresa Wilson (wife Carrie Bowmaster), all of Carlisle. Mae is also survived by siblings Doris Starner, Cynthia Brehm, Beverly Tush, Kay Kling, and Fay Hock, all of Carlisle. Her brothers Richard and Gary Evans, both of Carlisle, also survive, along with eight grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents in addition to sisters Mary Jane Alonzo and Vivian Farris, along with brothers Kenneth, Robert, and Mervin Evans.

The family will receive friends at a visitation to be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4 at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA 17013. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made in Mae’s memory to the charity of one’s choice.
