Mae L. Marshall, 81, of Carlisle, died Monday, June 15, 2015 at Sarah Todd Home in Carlisle.
She was born on February 21, 1934 in Lakemont, PA to the late McClain H. and Grace Myers Stiffler. She was the widow of her first husband John Sackhorn and her second husband James F. Marshall.
Mae was a homemaker and a member of Carlisle Baptist Church. She attended a Bible study group at Otterbein United Methodist Church and was an avid Keith Kauffman sprint car driver fan. She loved her family and was an inspiration to everyone. She will be sadly missed by many.
Mae is survived by her step-son, James L. (and wife Jeri) Marshall of Shippensburg and their children, Kelsey Marshall of Shippensburg and Seth Marshall of Newville and great-granddaughter, Rylee Marshall of Newville; step-daughter, Kathy Zuni and her son, Thomas Zuni, both of Carlisle; siblings, Alta Jean (and husband Ray) Heeter of Buffalo, NY, Thomas (and wife Beverly) Stiffler of Manns Choice, PA, Gerald (and wife Virginia) Stiffler of Wellsville, PA and Susan (and husband John) Aller of Palm Harbor, FL; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Joseph Zuni; step-mother, Catherine Stiffler; and brothers, Edward J. and Charles M. Stiffler.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2015 at Carlisle Baptist Church, 701 Walnut Bottom Road, Carlisle, with Pastor Ed Roman officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery. There will be a viewing from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle and on Friday at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the services.
Memorial contributions may be made to Carlisle Baptist Church, 701 Walnut Bottom Road, Carlsile, PA 17013.
