Lydia I. Sutton, 97, of Carlisle, died Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at her residence.
Born in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna (Brownawell) McClintock and the wife of 50 years to John M. Sutton when he passed in 1998.
Lydia enjoyed sewing and loved to travel with John and her family all over the United States.
Survivors include her daughters: Bonnie L. Handshew, Barbara Brownewell, her husband, William, Shawn Tuttle, her husband, Walter; her nine grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her 11 siblings: Paul, William, Aaron, Goldie, Earl, Archie, Violet, Marie, John, Cecil and Carl; her daughter: Edith Zimmerman and her son-in-law: Donald Handshew.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service 11 am Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, where the family will greet guests after 10 am prior to the service. Interment will be held at 1:30 pm in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
