Luke Ferdinand Rissler, 21, of Myerstown, Pennsylvania went to his heavenly home on Thursday, September 5, 2024.
Born at home on September 2, 2003, in Myerstown, he was the son of Philip Good Rissler and Carolyn Anne (Gorraiz) Rissler.
Luke loved to spend time with his family and often read books to his nieces and nephews, including to those in England via FaceTime. Luke was kind and was always looking for opportunities to help others. He volunteered at Pine Grove Furnace State Park on multiple occasions, planting many trees.
Luke enjoyed making tons of blueberry waffles from scratch, cooking, and creating his own recipes. He loved the great outdoors, collecting rocks, hiking, and swimming in Fuller Lake. He liked fishing, but he especially liked eating the fish. Growing up, he was active in Trail Life. Luke gave his heart to the Lord Jesus Christ and enjoyed going to college age Bible study, senior high Bible study, and Sunday school every week at West Shore Free Church.
In addition to his parents, Luke is survived by 11 siblings: Grace, and husband, Matthias Krueger, of Germany; Faith, and husband, Samuel King, of England; Phil Rissler II of Tennessee; Andrew Rissler, and wife, Hayley, of Illinois; Matthew Rissler, and wife, Laura of Pennsylvania; John Rissler, and wife, Margaret of North Carolina; Hope, and husband, Greg Fifer of Maryland; Charity, and husband, Matthew Wottrich of Texas, Peter Rissler, and wife, Cara, of Ohio, Paul Rissler of Pennsylvania, and Mercy Rissler of Pennsylvania; eleven nieces and nephews; grandmother, Julia Gorraiz plus innumerable aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Luke was preceded in death by his 13-year-old brother, Mark Melchisedec Rissler, who went to his heavenly home on April 25, 2023, grandfather, Victor Gorraiz, Jr, grandmother, Barbara Good Rissler, grandfather, Ivan Hurst Rissler, and step-grandfather, Amos Hurst Rissler.

Please arrive at West Shore Free Church between 10:00 - 11:00 AM to greet the family prior to the memorial service. Livestream is not available.
