Lois E. Foreman

Lois A. Foreman, 86, a resident of Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home and formerly of Carlisle, died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011.

Born Oct. 1, 1925, in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late Roy E. and Esther Rupp Hoffman.

Lois was a 1943 graduate of Carlisle High School. She retired from the Carlisle Area School District and worked for Burkholder Printing. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Carlisle.

Surviving are two sons, David L. Foreman and his wife Dianne of Carlisle and Richard Foreman of Carlisle; a brother, William E. Hoffman and his wife Gretchen of Carlisle; two grandsons, Eric Foreman of Fayetteville and Jeremy Foreman of Carlisle; five great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Lynn Shultz officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Churchtown. There will be a viewing from 1 p.m. Thursday until the time of the service.
