Lois A. Kepner

Lois A. Kepner, age 82, of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on June 20, 1933 in Boiling Springs to the late William and Zoe Lay Weakley and was the widow of the late Sherwood "Dutch" Kepner, Sr.
Lois retired from the Bon Ton Department Store in Carlisle after over 20 years as a department manager. She was a member of First United Church of Christ, Carlisle. She enjoyed sewing and was a gifted cook.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy K. (and husband Rik) Sjoberg of Boiling Springs; a son, Sherwood G. Kepner, Jr. and his companion Diana Schreiber of Carlisle; four grandchildren, Kate and Becky Sjoberg and Jason (and wife Danielle) and Rashelle Kepner and her fiancé Greg Woodin; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Wayne (and wife Doris) Weakley of York; and mother of Jason and Rashelle, Thelma Kepner of Harrisburg. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Martha Remsburg.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at First United Church of Christ, 30 N. Pitt Street, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Rachel H. Schwab officiating. Interment will be at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. There will be a visitation at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
