Lois A. Davis, 83, of Carlisle, died Monday, January 5, 2015 at the Church of God Home, Carlisle.
Born April 12, 1931 in Carlisle to the late Walter G. and Hilda Z. Keller Arnold. She was the widow of Lester R. Davis whom she had been married to for forty-five years.
She was a secretary and bookkeeper for the former Arnold Motors, Carlisle. She was a graduate of Carlisle High School, Class of 1949. She was a lifelong member of the Wesleyan Church of the Cross, a member of its choir and served as Sunday School Teacher in the Children's Department for twenty years. She was an avid doll collector.
Lois is survived by her two sons, Lester R. "Skip" Davis (wife Lana) and Walter G. Davis; one sister, Doris A. Fraker (husband, Harold) all of Carlisle; three grandchildren: Benjamin P. Davis, Elizabeth Davis Tindall, and Jennifer L. Davis.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 9, 2015 at Wesleyan Church of the Cross, 430 B Street, Carlisle, PA 17013 with Rev. Daniel R. Mikesell officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the church.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
