Lindora Deaner

Lindora Deaner, age 69, of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
She was born on April 24, 1946 in Harrisburg, PA to the late Millard and Margaret Meck Hess.
Lindora retired from the Irving Shoe Store after working for them for over 25 years as a saleswoman and manager. She had helped the Irving Shoe Company open many locations in Central PA. She was a member of Carlisle VFW Post 477 Ladies Auxiliary and the Enola American Legion Post 751. One of Lindora's favorite times was entertaining during the holidays and spending time with her loving family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 12 years, Robert B. Deaner; a son, Thomas E. (and wife Dawn) Culley of Shippensburg; a daughter, Juel A. (and husband Eric) Noviello of Montoursville; a brother, Millard (and wife Kay) Hess of Mechanicsburg; a step-daughter, Karen (and husband Keith) Ilgenfritz of Newville; a daughter-in-law, Margaret Deaner of New Cumberland; three grandchildren, Sarah Deaner, Jesse Deaner and Heather Morrill; and a great-grandson, Hudson Hollenbush; and a step-grandson, William Pearson. She was preceded in death by her parents and a stepson, William Deaner.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Chaplain Arlene Dunn officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of the services.
