Linda R. Wickard

Linda Wickard age 80 of Carlisle, PA., passed away on June 19, 2024, in Carlisle Skilled Nursing and Rehab.

Born on Sunday January 16, 1944, in Chambersburg to the late Charles Lawyer and the late Maude (Holtry) Lawyer. She was married to Calvin L. Wickard on July 2, 1961, and would have celebrated 63 years of marriage.    

Linda was the Church Secretary at Newville Assembly of God for 40 years. She was active in the Friends of Newville Library. She also enjoyed reading and knitting. 

Linda is survived by her husband Calvin L. Wickard of Carlisle, PA., son Calvin "Scott"(wife Ronda) Wickard of Carlisle, PA., granddaughter Madison (husband Ryan) Sohne and a great grandson Maverick all of Belle Chase, LA., siblings: Charles (Gloria) Lawyer, Mark (Penny) Lawyer, Virginia Grove, Jean Barrick, Judy Lawyer and Joyce Bohn. 

She was preceded in death by three sisters: Annie Buck, Carol Murray and Margaret Clemmons and two brothers: Edward Gates Lawyer and Bill Fahnestock.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday June 25, 2024, at Westminster Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Kettering officiating.
