Linda K. Deckert

Linda K. Fike Deckert, 60, of Newville, died suddenly Thursday November 12, 2015 at her residence.

She was born in Mechanicsburg, on December 26, 1954 to the late Fred D. Fike Jr. and Shirley G. Walker Fike, Mechanicsburg

Linda had worked at the former Book of the Month Club, Mechanicsburg, Ahold Corp, Carlisle and Borders Books, Carlisle.

She was a graduate of Mechanicsburg High School, Class of 1972 and also graduated from the Wilson College Vet Tech Program, Chambersburg. Linda was a member of the Sheltie Club, Harrisburg and the Harrisburg Kennel Club. She enjoyed showing horses and her Shelties. Linda enjoyed all types of crafting.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Russell K. Deckert, Newville, a son, Calvin M. Deckert, Newville, a brother, Fred W. Fike, Mechanicsburg. She was preceded in death by a sister Gwen Glasser.

Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday, November 19, 2015 in the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, with the Rev. Richard L. Reese officiating. There will be a visitation at the funeral home from 5:00 pm Thursday until the time of services.
