Linda J. Porter, age 62, of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at her residence.
She was born on July 27, 1953 in Reading, PA to Samuel J. Good, Jr. of Carlisle and the late Dorothy L. Schwartz Good.
Linda worked as a line lead technician at Vectron International in Mt. Holly Springs. She was a devoted member of her church, St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carlisle, where she was in the bell choir. Linda lived for her family and her church. She loved NASCAR and her favorite driver was Jeff Gordon. She truly enjoyed spending time at the beach with her family and particularly loved eating hard-shell crabs. She was a huge Elvis fan and working on arts and crafts was her favorite pastime.
She is survived by a daughter, Lindsay J. Porter of Carlisle; a son, John L. (and wife Sherrie) Porter, Jr. of Tower City, PA; a brother, Michael D. (and wife Barbara) Good of Carlisle; a sister, Debbie A. (and husband Bill) Nieves of Gettysburg; three grandchildren, Samantha, Laurel and Jayden; and two step-grandchildren, Colton and Jordan.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Louther Street, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Robert W. Moore officiating. There will be a visitation at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
