Lillian K. Hocker, 87 of Carlisle, died Thursday, February 5, 2015 at her son's residence in Carlisle with her family at her side.
She was born November 17, 1927 to the late William Z. and Alvah Nickel Keller and was the widow of Frank Edward Hocker, to whom she was married for 54 years.
Lillian was a retired administrative clerk for the Pennsylvania Dept. of Revenue. She was a member of Wesleyan Church of the Cross and the Women's Missionary Society of the church in Carlisle. The most important part of Lillian's life was her family.
She is survived by a daughter, Penny M. Roy and her husband, K. Scott, of Mars, PA; three sons, Timothy E. Hocker and his wife Karen, of Magnolia, NJ, Daniel L. Hocker of Chambersburg, Scott A. Hocker and his wife Lisa, of Carlisle, with whom Lillian lived; a brother, Earl Keller of Carlisle; two sisters, Minnie Knouse and Emma McBride, both of Carlisle; fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded by a grandson, Miles McClain; a brother, H. Paul Keller and two sisters, Hilda Arnold and Dorcas Keller.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at her church, Wesleyan Church of the Cross, 430 B. St., Carlisle PA 17013, with the Rev. Daniel R. Mikesell officiating, Burial will be in the Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle. There will be a viewing from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 9, 2015 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle and from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the church.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice for All Seasons, 2741 Paxton St., Suite 200, Harrisburg PA 17111 or to her church.
