Levi Sloop, 80, of Carlisle, died Sunday, January 14, 2024 at his residence.
Born in Williams Grove, he was the son of the late Jacob and Ethel (Lindsay) Sloop and the husband of 57 years to Linda (Hill) Sloop.
Levi served in the US Army, serving in the 104th Infantry.
He owned and operated Sloop Service Center for 45 years.
In his spare time, he restored numerous classic cars, trucks and gas pumps, winning many trophies for his exceptional work.
Levi loved camping, anywhere and everywhere, riding his Harley and spending time with his family. He was also an active member of the Blue Moon Cruisers in Mechanicsburg.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son: Jason Sloop, his wife, Shelly; his daughter: Jodi Speece, her husband, Christopher; his grandchildren: Jordan Sloop, his wife, Jessica, Jacob Sloop, his wife, Madison, Wyatt Speece and Colton Speece; his great grandchildren: Hudson Sloop and Evelyn Sloop; his brother: Roy Sloop; his sister: Nancy Crockett as well as his aunt: Kathryn Smith.
Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service 11:30 am Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, where the family will greet guests after 9:00 am prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Ashland Cemetery, Carlisle.
