Lester Jumper

Lester "Gus" Jumper, 79 of Shermans Dale, died Friday July 8, 2011 in his home.
Born March 23, 1932 in Carlisle, the son of the late Frank and Stella Garner Jumper and the widow of Sara Messinger.
Gus was retired from Pennsy Supply (Benders Quarry) where he was a heavy equipment operator.
Surviving are two sons, Roger Jumper and his wife Frances Ann and Frank Jumper, nine grandchildren, Roger Lee, Nathan and his wife Jennifer, Ian, Derek, Robert, Benjamin and Steven Jumper and Bridget Barbour and her husband Mike and Lindsey Cooley and eight great-grandchildren, Kristen, Brandon, Tyler, Addison, Conner, Bryce, Nick and Lizzy, two brothers, Paul and Marlin Jumper and two sisters, Dorothy Walck and Janet Clark, two step-children, Vernon Shover and Annette Brownawell. Gus was preceded in death by two sons; Brian and Alan Jumper, two brothers; Walter and Ronald Jumper and two sisters; Violet Weigand and Catherine Bream.
Memorial services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with the Rev. Richard L. Reese officiating. There will be a visitation from 5:00 p.m. Thursday until the time of the service in the funeral home.
