Leornard B. Hodges

Leonard "Curly" Hodges, 84, of Carlisle, died Thursday, May 2, 2013 at his daughter's home.
Born May 17, 1928 in Hart, MI, he was a son of the late James and Edna Fuller Hodges.
Leonard was a US Army veteran of WWII who served in the Philippines. He was a sportsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Leonard was a life time member of VFW Post #477, Carlisle.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Mary Helgren Hodges of Shippensburg; two daughters, Shirley Walker (and husband, Garey) of Carlisle (with whom Leonard and Mary lived) and Susan Cooler of Shippensburg; one sister, Eleanor Kinney of Muskegon, MI; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, and one sister; one son and one grandson.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Carlisle Alliance Church, 237 East North Street, Carlisle with Rev. Timothy D. Keller and Rev. Garey Walker, Jr. co-officiating.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
