Leona Barth Arnold

Leona Barth Arnold, 93, of Newville died Thursday, February 24, 2011 at the Green Ridge Village, Newville.
Born July 7, 1917 in Chicago, IL, she was a daughter of the late Arthur William and Ella Bork Barth and the widow of Wiley Ellsworth Arnold.
She was a graduate of Nicholas Senn High, Chicago. She attended Grinnell College, IA and Northwestern University, Evanston, IL. Leona was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, Carlisle. She served in various leadership positions and volunteered at Presbyterian churches and affiliated institutions.
Surviving are son, Rick Arnold (and wife, Ellen) of East Berlin, daughter, Carol Celander (and husband, Bill) of Rochester Hills, MI, son, Arthur Arnold (and wife, Caroline) of Los Angeles, CA, sister, Myrl Akerman (and husband, Dick) of Alpharetta, GA, six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Green Hall Conference Room, Green Ridge Village, 210 Big Spring Road, Newville with Rev. Jack Larson officiating.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
