Lee R. Zeigler, 87, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2020 at Kinkora Pythian Home, Duncannon.
Born on January 31, 1933 in Carlisle, PA, he was the son of the late James and Ruth (Gayman) Zeigler.
He was stationed in Goose Bay, Canada as a line cook during the Korean Conflict from 1953 through 1955 for the “Fly Boys”. Lee was employed by the Department of Defense for over 29 years. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching baseball, or bowling at Trindle Bowl.
Lee is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Shirley (Darhower) Zeigler; three children, Gina Park and husband James of Washborn, WI, Tina Baker and husband Douglas of Shermansdale, PA, and Chris and wife Rachel of Atlanta, GA; three granddaughters, Jennifer Folk, Michelle Jackson, and Brandy Donnelly; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
