Laureano Portilla

Laureano Portilla, Jr., 73, of Carlisle, died Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born April 20, 1939 in Cuba, he was a son of the late Laureano, Sr. and Rosa Garcia Portilla.
He worked in Cuba as a salesman for the family business and in America for C. H. Masland and Sons for over 20 years. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carlisle and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Carlisle.
Surviving are one son, Rafael Portilla (and wife, Christina) of Carlisle; one daughter, Patricia Portilla-Jones of Harrisburg; five grandchildren, Breanna Portilla, Michael Jones, Rosa Portilla, Rafael Portilla, and Hannah Portilla; one sister Lourdes Leon of FL; and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by a sister, Rosa Fox.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 85 Marsh Drive, Carlisle with Rev. Dwight D. Schlaline as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Patrick Catholic Church Cemetery, McClure’s Gap Road, Carlisle.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
