Larry E. Lippert, 67, of Carlisle died in his home Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010.
Born Aug. 16, 1943, in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Harry E. and Miriam M. Coover Lippert.
Larry worked for the Carlisle Tire and Wheel for more than thirty years before his retirement. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1299 and the White Circle Club, both in Carlisle. Larry enjoyed fishing many of the areas creeks and streams, including his favorite spot, Letort. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1960 to 1964.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Audrey Lippert of Carlisle; three brothers, Gary Lippert and wife Sue, Victor Lippert and wife Sue and Lester Lippert, all of Carlisle; two sisters, Jean Barbour and husband Garry “Buck” and Doris Lippert, both of Carlisle; a brother and sister-in-law, Clair and Barbara Johnson of Mechanicsburg; and his many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Letort Cemetery, Carlisle, with full military honors conducted by the Cumberland County Honor Guard.
