Kirk D. Webber, 70, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, April 12, 2025. Kirk was born September 12, 1954, to the late Harold and Laura Webber.
Kirk grew up in Unionville, MO, and began his work career in the U.S. Army stationed in various locations across the United States and Germany. On his third tour in Germany on a small base in Wildflecken, Germany, he met his wife, Captain Jo-Ann Carabeau, and moved his family back to the States in 1990 to the Washington, DC area. After his discharge from the service as a Chief Warrant Officer 3 in 1994, he continued his career with the American Red Cross, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and finally with the Federal Government. Kirk earned his Master of Science in 2007 in Information Technology from the University of Maryland. Following his love of all thing’s computer, he volunteered to assist the many residents in the Traditions of America community.
In his adult years, Kirk and Jo-Ann lived in Severn, Maryland; moved to Davidsonville, Maryland; and finally, Mechanicsburg, PA in their retirement years. They enjoyed their time together gardening, birdwatching, landscaping, reading, and were always up for an adventure, especially traveling all over the United States, Europe, Canada and cruising the islands of the Caribbean. Their trips to the many National Parks across the U.S. with friends were their fondest memories.
Above all Kirk cherished his time spent with family and friends. He was a devoted husband, Brother, and Brother-in-law. His generous and fun-loving spirit was noted by all.
Kirk is survived by wife Jo-Ann. Also left to cherish his memory is his sister Judith (Judy) and Sister-in-law Monica and 3 nieces (Lisa, Lacy, and Leeanne). Kirk was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Laura Webber.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 2pm-4 pm at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, located at 2020 West Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA 17013.
