Kim Sheppard Greene, age 67, of Middletown, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Hershey Medical Center surrounded by family and friends.
He was born July 20, 1951 in Coral Gables, Florida, the son of the late Donald E. and Joanne E. (Witschonke) Greene.
Kim was thankful for God's grace and mercy through his Lord Jesus Christ and he loved God’s Word.
Kim grew up in Miami, FL, and was active in the Boy Scouts of America, earning the rank of Eagle Scout. He was a graduate of Miami Coral Park Senior High School and received an Associate in Arts Degree from Valencia Community College, Orlando, Florida. He served in the U.S. Army in Japan during the Viet Nam War and later worked as a retail manager and a roofing contractor.
He was always very friendly; loving to get to know people, asking them questions, and imparting his knowledge and wisdom. Kim was a big Miami Dolphins fan, through the good years and the bad.
Kim loved his family very much, even though he was not always able to be near them. He is survived by son: David Greene of Homer, Alaska, and David’s mother Diane Surrett of Cincinnati, Ohio; his daughter: Sarah (Greene) Matin and husband Matthew of Winter Garden, Florida; Grandson: Andrew Matin; brother: Richard “Rick” Greene and wife Mary Jean of Norman, Oklahoma; sister; Donna Chaplin and husband Gilbert of Ballston Spa, New York and many nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to PA Bible Teaching Fellowship, 701 Alison Ave., Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013.
