Kenneth Ray McCoy

Kenneth R. McCoy, of Carlisle, passed away at his residence on Thursday, December 19 at the age of 80. Born on July 2, 1944 he was the son of the late Herman L. and Janet (Lebo) McCoy. He was the loving husband of the late Virginia (Lebo) McCoy.

Ken worked as a janitor for various employers in the Cumberland County area, retiring from Dickinson College at age 65. He enjoyed gardening, model trains and puzzles. Ken was a member of the First Church of the Brethren in Carlisle.

Ken is survived by a sister, sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Fred, and sisters Barbara and Phyllis.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 30, 2024 with the Rev. Doug Miller officiating at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA 17013. A visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ken’s memory to First Church of the Brethren, 1340 Forge Rd., Carlisle, PA 17013.
