Kenneth M. Gettys

Kenneth M. Gettys, 58, of Churchtown, died Thursday, February 14, 2013 at M. S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born August 17, 1954 in Harrisburg, he was a son of the late Harry and Joyce Starry Gettys.
He was a 1974 graduate of Cumberland Valley High School. Kenneth worked for the Mechanicsburg School District. He enjoyed hunting, chopping wood and being outdoors.
Surviving are his wife of 39 ½ years, Karen Wagner Gettys; one son, Keith Gettys (and wife, Michelle) of Perry County; one daughter, Kendra Gettys of York; two brothers, Lloyd Gettys (and wife, Karen) of Boiling Springs and Robert Gettys (and wife, Tracy) of Carlisle; two sisters, Jean Umbrell (and husband, Carl) of Annville and Kathy Brown of Boiling Springs.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
