Kenneth Eugene Yarlett, 57, of Carlisle, died as a result of complications due to hernia surgery, Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born June 22, 1955 in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Richard and Catherine Georgine Bailey Yarlett.
He was a graduate of Carlisle High School, Class of 1973 and loved to play drums in the high school band. He was employed by Dauphin Oil from 1978 to 2006 as mechanic and manager. He owned and operated Lube N' Go in Carlisle since 2006. Kenneth had 25 years of service as a member of the Friendship Fire Company as a driver. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 1299, Carlisle since 1977. He loved Micro Sprint car racing.
Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Donna Jean Yarlett of Carlisle; two children, Crystal Yarlett Brown (and husband, Tracy) of Bloserville and Brandon Yarlett of Carlisle; two grandchildren, Torrence Rae Brown and Cadence Jae Brown; two sisters, Sharon Eichelberger (and husband, Mike) of Carlisle and Leslie Swartz (and husband, Ron) of Carlisle; and two nieces, Jenna Swartz Kinsler and Jessica Swartz of Newville.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday July 9, 2012 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Jonathan Terry officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 6:00-9:00 p.m., Sunday, July 8, 2012 and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
