Keith W. Thompson

Keith W. Thompson, Sr., of Newville, passed away Wednesday, January 31 at Forest Park Nursing and Rehabilitation at the age of 77. Born in Carlisle, he was the son of the late Gladys (Thompson) Sowers. He was the loving husband of the late Edith B. (Myers) Thompson.

Prior to retirement, Keith was a steel worker for more than 30 years with the former Frog and Switch, Co. in Carlisle. He was also a former member of the Boiling Springs Hunting Club and enjoyed hunting, masonry and carpentry.

Surviving are two sons, Keith W. Thompson, Jr. (wife Sandy), of Newville, and Shane E. Thompson of Shippensburg. One daughter, Nancy L. Rogers (husband Sam) of Edenton, NC also survives him. He is survived by four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Several brothers and sisters predeceased him. 

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7 at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 2020 W. Trindle Rd., Carlisle, PA 17013 with the Rev. Christopher Faylor officiating. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family; however, further details may be announced at a future date regarding an additional memorial.
