Kay I. Brenneman, 73, of Carlisle, died Monday, September 16, 2013 at his home in Carlisle.
Born February 13, 1940 in Mt. Holly Springs, he was a son of the late Lynn G. and Mary Jane Orr Brenneman and the widower of Linda Orris Brenneman.
He was a financial engineer for Sprint (formerly United Telephone) for 35 years. Most recently he worked at the Carlisle YMCA. He was a ham radio operator, an avid boater, and enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family.
Surviving are two sons, James "Scott" Brenneman of Boiling springs and Troy O. Brenneman (and wife, Dawn) of Pittsubrgh; one daughter, Dawn D. Fentress of Carlisle; one brother Orr Brennemen (and wife, Linda) of Carlisle; three step-daughters: Sharon Shaffer and husband, Donnie) and Shelby Metzger both of Carlisle and Tammy Orris of Shermans Dale; seven grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In additions to his parents he preceded in death by one son-in-law, Wavie Fentress; one brother Lynn Brenneman; and two sisters, Beryl Kines and Helen Jane Wolfe.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, September 29, 2013 at his residence, 30 Cave Hill Drive, Carlisle with Rev. Ryan Brown officiating. Burial will be Letort Cemetery, Carlisle.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
