Kay M. Chronister

Kay M. Chronister, 80 of Carlisle passed away Wednesday March 5, 2025, at Chapel Pointe with her family by her side.

Kay was born in Carlisle on Sunday October 15, 1944, to Paul and Isabel (Miller) Murtoff.

Kay is survived by her loving husband Larry L. Chronister, son John (wife Brenda) Chronister of Mechanicsburg, nieces: Ruth Ann (husband Mick) Reed-Morris and Nellie (husband Michael) Reed-Welborn and Julie (husband Rusty) Jenkins, grandchildren: Gavin Choosakul, Kirsten Trimmer, Alixandra (husband John) Fider, Dillon Novak, and Gunnar Chronister and great grandchildren: Livia and Lexa Strayer and sister-in-law Jan Murtoff.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Stuart “Stu” Murtoff, sisters Janet M Reed (husband Vincent) Bernice Murtoff Crawford, Fay Murtoff Boychok and her daughter Erica Keim.

She was a loving wife, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother and was loved by all that knew her. She was an avid photographer and was known as the family historian. She loved traveling and her family, she enjoyed latch hooking, word find books, singing and listening to music, but most of all she enjoyed spreading the word of the God.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday March 15, 2025, at Grace Baptist Church 777 W North Street Carlisle, PA 17013 with Pastor Jeff Oliver officiating. A viewing will be held from 11:45 am - 12:45 pm at the church. Burial will follow in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens.
