Kathryn S. Angle

Kathryn S. Angle, 78, of Carlisle, passed away at her home with her husband by her side on Sunday, March 10, 2024.

She was born May 11, 1945, in Chambersburg to the late Robert L. and Margaret (Spear) Hoover.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Stephen F. Angle; son Stephen J Angle of Camp Hill; daughter, Emily M. (husband, Gabriel) and grandchildren Woody and Eliza Gilson of Blagdon, England; sister Julianne Walter (husband, Carl) of Chambersburg; and brothers Robert S. Hoover (wife, Lisa) of Mt Pleasant, South Carolina and Michael E. Hoover of Mercersburg.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Peter T. Angle.

Kathy was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker.   She was a marvelous cook and baker, baking bread and special desserts each week.  She passed on her skills to her daughter Emily who now works at the BBC Food Channel in the U.K.  She also enjoyed visiting the houses and gardens at Colonial Williamsburg and bringing back ideas for her home.  

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6th at Redeemer Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 101 Petersburg Road, Carlisle, Pastor Jeremy Brandenburg officiating.  A private burial was previously held at Parklawns Memorial Garden in Chambersburg.
