Kathy R. "Tinker" Erickson

Kathy R. “Tinker” Erickson peacefully passed away and went to be with the Lord on January 22, 2024 at the age of 69. Born on August 7, 1954 in Glendale, AZ, she was the daughter of the late Henning L. “Eric” and Hazel I. (Rose) Erickson.

Tinker was a hard worker who had multiple jobs throughout her life including being a manager at Taco Bell, an associate at Carlisle Cleaners, a dietary aide at Church of God Nursing Home and finishing her working career being a Walmart associate in the Produce and Bakery sections for over 18 years which she loved.

Tinker enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, laughing, partying, and making each moment count!  She was always welcoming and made anyone feel like a part of her family every time you saw her. Tinker’s greatest joy in life were her five grandchildren Dariel, Milajah, Miracle, Day’Niah, and Corbin along with her five great-grandchildren Adrian, Ava, Kase, Ariella, and Lanae.  She took great pride in raising her great-grandson Adrian and cherished all their time spent together.

Tinker is survived by daughters Jessica Margeson (Tim), of Carlisle; and Julia Erickson of Mechanicsburg. Brothers Robert Rose, of Mount Holly, and Eddie Burd (Sheila), of Gardners, also survive her.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers Donnie Erickson, Rick Erickson, Henny Erickson, III and Karl Erickson in addition to one sister Jerrie Burd.

Those who were fortunate to have known and loved Tinker are better people because of it. Her beautiful free spirit will remain with us for the rest of eternity. Spread your wings and fly Tinker Bell! We love and miss you so much Thank you for everything! 

Please join us for a celebration of life at the Carlisle Ribbon Mill, 320 E Louther St., Carlisle, PA on February 10, 2024 from 1:00-4:00 pm. Please come as you are and wear bright colors to celebrate this amazing woman.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Tinker’s memory to Project SHARE of Carlisle Food Pantry, 5 N. Orange St. #4, Carlisle, PA 17013.
